Sector
Garage & Motor Trade Web Design
Websites for MOT centres, servicing garages, used car dealers and motor trade suppliers across the UK. Built to fill the diary rather than to look impressive.
Nobody browsing for a garage is browsing
People arrive at a garage website in one of two states. Something has broken and they need it fixed today, or the MOT is due and they want a price and a date. Neither is exploring your brand story.
That makes the requirements unusually simple and unusually strict. What you do, where you are, when you are open, how much, and how to book — visible immediately, on a phone, without navigating a menu. Everything else is secondary and most of it is in the way.
The garages that win locally answer those five questions faster than the garage down the road. It is rarely the one with the most impressive website.
- Something has brokenThey need it fixed today
- The MOT is dueThey want a price and a date
- They book, or ring the next garageWhoever answers first gets the job
Four reasons
Why most garage sites do not rank
One page for everything.
MOT, servicing, diagnostics, tyres, clutches and air conditioning listed together. Each is searched separately, usually with a town attached, and one page can only rank for one of them.
No prices at all.
MOT is a fixed statutory price and servicing can be given from a figure. A garage that publishes indicative pricing gets the call; one that says "contact us for a quote" loses it.
Reviews invisible.
Choosing a garage is a trust decision. If your reviews are only on Google and not on the site, you are relying on the customer to go and look.
Slow on a phone.
Someone at the roadside with a warning light will not wait eight seconds for a hero video. We build mobile-first and test on real devices.
Booking, stock and taking work off the phone
The most useful thing a garage website can do is take work off the phone. Online MOT and service booking lets customers pick a slot at nine in the evening rather than ringing during the working day, and it fills the quiet parts of the diary that would otherwise stay empty.
For anyone selling used cars, stock listings are the second job. Current, findable, and detailed enough to answer the obvious questions — a forecourt listing three months out of date costs you the enquiry and the trust together. Stock can be managed through a content management system or fed from a system you already run.
Beyond that: MOT reminders by email, service history, tyre and part enquiries, courtesy car availability, and a vacancies page if you are trying to recruit technicians in a short market.

What We Build
What this sector needs
Online Booking
MOT and service booking built into the site, so customers pick a slot in the evening rather than ringing during the working day.
A Page Per Service
MOT, servicing, diagnostics, tyres and air conditioning each given their own page, because that is how people search.
Stock Listings
Used car stock managed through the CMS or fed from an existing system, so the website matches the forecourt without anyone updating it twice.
What's next
AI that answers while you’re under a car
The phone rings mid-job, every time. AI can take the call, answer the price questions and chase the paperwork, so the diary keeps filling while you work.
Calls answered mid-job
A voice agent that answers in your brand's voice, takes the details and handles the query, or passes it to your team. Out of hours too.
AI voice agents →Website“How much is an MOT?” answered
A chat assistant that answers your customers' questions on the website and hands over to your team at the right moment.
AI chatbots →PaperworkInvoices and parts orders filed
AI that reads the invoices, forms and emails that come in, pulls out the details and files them in the right system automatically.
AI automation →Follow-upEvery booking request followed up
Enquiries captured, sorted and passed to your team, with reminders and follow-ups sent without anyone chasing them.

Prices
What it costs and how it works
Websites start from £69 a month for a focused site and £119 a month for a larger build with a content management system and individual service pages. Complex projects with e-commerce, bespoke tools or integrations are quoted. Full detail is on the pricing page.
Every price is fixed and agreed in writing before work starts. Anything outside your plan is quoted first: no scope creep, no invoice at the end larger than the quote. Hosting and support run from £45 a month on UK servers, on our Care plan, with every support request answered the same working day.
Mediatopia is deliberately small. You deal with the person who designs the site, builds it, hosts it and answers the phone when something needs changing — not an account manager or a junior learning on your project. It is why several clients have been with us for more than fifteen years. See the full case studies.
Common Questions
Garage & Motor Trade Web Design FAQs
How much does a garage website cost?
A focused site covering your services, location and opening hours starts from £69 a month. Larger builds with online MOT and service booking, used car stock listings or feed integration are quoted.
Can customers book an MOT or service online?
Yes, and for most garages it pays for itself. Customers pick a date rather than ringing during opening hours, which fills quiet slots and takes pressure off the counter.
Can I list used cars for sale on the website?
Yes. Stock can be managed through the content management system or fed automatically from an existing stock feed, so the website stays in step with the forecourt.
How do I rank for MOT and servicing searches in my town?
Match the pages to the searches. MOT, servicing, diagnostics, air conditioning and tyres are all searched separately and usually with a town attached. Individual pages for each, plus a Google Business Profile that agrees with the site.
What happens to my website if the business rebrands?
It gets handled properly. Longcross Garage was Economy Saab when we started in 2008, and the rebrand was carried through the website, email and search presence without losing rankings.
Do you work with garages across the UK?
Yes. Everything is handled remotely and location makes no practical difference.
