My Story
From WebEurope to Whiteladies Road
Before Mediatopia, I was a director at WebEurope, a web company with 7,000 clients. I designed many of their websites, and a lot of those businesses are still with me today.
In 2010 I bought part of the business and founded Mediatopia, starting with a team of six in the old schoolhouse on Staplegrove Road in Taunton. We grew to fourteen people across two Taunton offices, before the move to Bristol.
Today Mediatopia is founder-led again, and deliberately so. I do every job myself: design, development, SEO, hosting, email, domains, Sage 50 integrations and merchant accounts. You never get passed to an account manager, and nothing is outsourced. Over 3,000 websites later, the principle hasn’t changed: build it properly, charge a fair price, and answer the phone when it rings.
